Epiphone Casino Jazz Tone
It's the Classic Casino But 10% Smaller
Next, we have the Epiphone Casino! Another beautiful guitar with incredible playability and even better tone for a great price. I believe these guitars go for roughly $650 new and, of course, are much cheaper used. The Casino is a 'thin-line' hollow body and it can give a nice fat sound as well as handle a bit of gain. Playability: 5/5. In terms of pure soul-satisfying tone, however, my 335 could not compare favorably with even the much less expensive ES-125T. Those hollow body guitars are real winners. Either the Gibson ES-330 (that Grant Green favored) or the Epiphone Casino are super guitars for covering rock, blues, country, and-of course-jazz. The Epiphone Casino’s unique design put it in a class of it’s own, sporting a smaller body depth and a big clear tone. It’s ability to feedback and be overdriven immediately attracted the attention of Paul McCartney, and soon gained a following by the likes of The Beach Boys, Keith Richards and Gary Clark Jr.
The Casino Coupe is the iconic hollowbody Casino reborn in a smaller, comfortable ES-339 body size. Featuring Epiphone's Dogear P-90T Classic™ single-coil pickups, a Mahogany neck, and vintage styled machine heads. Now available in Cherry, Vintage Sunburst, and new Turquoise color finishes.Finish

P-90 Single Coil Pickup
Legendary Tone
First introduced in the early 1950s, Gibson's legendary P90 single coil pickup produced a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Today, the P90's traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians. Known by such familiar nicknames as the 'Soapbar' and the 'Cobalt,' the P90 still cuts through any type of music, all while displaying amazing tonal sensitivity for everything from blues and rock to mellow jazz riffs. It's perfect as a vintage replacement, and features vintage, braided two-conductor wiring. It's also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of unwanted microphonic feedback.
